Jogging Music Compilation
If you go jogging a few times a week, you are well on the road to stay healthy and fit. Of course it’s not always easy to go out there, when it’s more attractive to stay in your comfortable couch. One of the things that comfort us and gives us the right spirit is having your favorite music along the jogging trail… Jogging requires a certain frame of mind that is hard for many people to maintain. If you start with an all-out, can do, psyched up attitude, you will burn yourself out quickly. But if you start off with low energy, you will barely even get started. The key to jogging is to strike the perfect balance between these two. You have to be ready to go to work, but not so excited that you wear yourself out before you have completed your whole run. This is where good jogging music comes in.
Good music for jogging does not have to be your favorite music, but it should be stuff that you like to listen to. How much you like the music, however, is less important than what speed it is at. Next time you go out for a run, pay attention to how fast you go. The perfect jogging music should match your stride as exactly as possible. That way, it will not only keep you excited, but also help you keep pace.
Many people like to order jogging music CDs, but I think this is the wrong way to go about it. The best way to get music to jog to is to make your own mix. That way, you can have jogging music that strikes a personal chord with you, including songs that inspire you and make you want to work out harder. Of course, this will only work if you listen to high energy, motivational music. If, on the other hand, you listen to slow music, low energy music, or music without a definite beat, you’ll have to get your jogging music some other way. Although there are many different kinds of music that work for jogging, they all have one thing in common: they all have a steady drumbeat.
In my opinion, the very best way to make a good jogging music compilation is to make a mix of a lot of different bands and see what works for you. Pay attention to when your energy increases, and when your excitement wanes. Think about which songs you can listen to over and over again, and which will get boring or even frustrating after awhile. Then eliminate the songs that don’t work from your jogging music CD, and and new songs. You probably will get tired of it eventually, and have to make a new jogging music CD after a few weeks, but eventually you will have several good mixes that you can rotate between.
